Kevin Lavey Inducted Into LIMLF Hall of Fame


The Long Island Metro Chapter of US Lacrosse held its 32nd Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on January 28, 2017 and welcomed Kevin Lavey into the Class of 2017.

On hand for the induction was Kevin's family (see photo), and many of his friends and fellow coaches from Suffolk County.

Kevin graduated from Harborfields HS in 1995 as an All-American, Empire State Gold Medal Winner, and member of the World Champion Team USA U-19 squad. Kevin attended the University of Delaware and was named All-Conference all four years, a three-time 1st Team member. He also garnered All-American honors for his efforts during his senior season.

Kevin continued his playing career for the LI-Hofstra Lacrosse Club, being named USCLA League MVP for the 2001 season. Kevin was also a member of Team USA, which won the Gold Medal, in the World Games that were held in Australia in 2002.

Kevin has taken his talents into the high school coaching ranks, having started the Elwood-John Glenn program in 2006. He was named Suffolk County Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2007, and led John Glenn to a Suffolk County Championship in 2010.

The other members of the LIMLF Class of 2017 are Joe Boulukos, Christine McPike Collins, Frank D'Agostino, Ron Klausner, Pat Shea, and Matt Zash.
